Mike joined the Stokes organization in 1993 and has
been active in real estate development (commercial
and residential) since 1978. He is a native of Ponte
Vedra Beach, FL with extensive entrepreneurial experience
having previously owned a real estate development
company.
Mike
is eminently successful
in locating and
acquiring properties
well suited for
residential lot
development in
central and northeast
Florida. He is
also actively involved
in all phases of
the subsequent
development process.
Taylor
has been with the
Stokes organization
since 1982 and
has experience
in the construction
of subdivision
lot infrastructure
- including utilities
and roads.
With
many years of managing
construction projects
throughout the
Southeastern United
States, he has
developed working
relationships with
numerous municipalities.
Taylor's
background in "value
engineering" provides
Stokes Land Group
with a unique advantage
in property development.
Taylor
holds a Bachelor
of Science degree
in Industrial Engineering
from Georgia Southern
University in Statesboro,
Georgia.
Scott
joined the Stokes
organization in April
2003. Scott's background
is rich in property
acquisition and development
experience. For the
ten years prior to
joining Stokes, Scott
was responsible for
land acquisition
on the west coast
of Florida for Pulte
Homes.
Scott
has a considerable
background that encompasses
all aspects of property
development and management
including a ten-year
relationship with
US Homes.
Scott is a graduate of Florida State University with
a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting.
Logan's
key focus is on
master planned
communities in
Northeast Florida.
Prior to joining
the Stokes organization
in April 2003,
he was a Vice President
of Colonial Properties
Inc., today one
of the nation's
largest mixed use
REIT's, as well
as a Real Estate
Director for Winn-Dixie
Stores, Inc.
Logan
successfully owned
and operated his
own real estate development
and brokerage company
from 1998 until joining
Stokes. His experience
is heavily weighted
in the commercial
and retail component
of land development.
Logan
is a graduate of
Florida State University
with a Bachelor of
Science degree in
Marketing.
Murphy
originally became
affiliated with the
Stokes organization
in the early 1980's
and rejoined the
company in 2003 after
operating his own
successful real estate
development business.
Murphy
has an extensive
background in all
aspects of real estate
development and construction,
including residential,
commercial, and industrial.
As a former Vice
President of Wackenhut
Corrections Corporation,
he was in charge
of business development
and site selection
for the company's
worldwide operations.
His geographical
area of expertise
is the Southeastern
U.S. Murphy is a
graduate of The Citadel
with a Bachelor of
Science degree in
Business Administration.
He
is an active member
of the Jacksonville
Chamber of Commerce,
Economic Development
Council, and a former
co-chair of the JaxPort
Committee.
Robert
joined the Stokes
organization in
February 2003.
After working for
several years in
the insurance industry,
Robert moved into
property management
with Young Life's
camping program.
Based
at Windy Gap, one
of Young Life's
premier properties
located in the
mountains of Western
North Carolina,
he was responsible
for the acquisition,
development, and
management of their
properties in the
Southeast.
Robert
lives in Charlotte,
North Carolina
and is responsible
for the surrounding
markets in that
area. Robert majored
in Business Administration
and Sociology at
Vanderbilt University.
Matt
joined Stokes Land
Group in 2004 after
having spent eight
years in banking
and real estate
brokerage. His
experience includes
the underwriting
and administration
of development
loans at NationsBank.
He was most recently
employed at TriProperties
in Durham, North
Carolina where
he brokered land
and investment
assets.
His
responsibilities
include managing
all aspects of
the development
of existing projects
as well as the
acquisition financing
and sales of new
projects in the
Triangle and Triad
areas of North
Carolina. A graduate
of Clemson University,
Matt holds a Bachelor
of Science degree
in Finance and
Real Estate.
Sally
joined the Stokes
organization in
1979 with a background
in real estate
banking. She has
worked for the
company in a variety
of capacities overseeing
many aspects of
residential and
commercial design,
construction, and
operations.
Sally
has owned and operated
a custom home building
company. She also
has an in-depth
background in managing
golf and country
club communities.
Her project management
skills and wide
range of experience
are valuable assets
to the Stokes'
portfolio of projects.
Sally
is an active member
in numerous organizations
dedicated to the
development of
women in business,
as well as a founding
member of the Women's
Giving Alliance.
Gayle
became General
Counsel of the
Stokes organization
in June 2002 after
11 years of private
law practice specializing
in real estate
and corporate transactions,
primarily at the
international law
firm of LeBoeuf,
Lamb, Greene & MacRae,
LLLP.
Gayle
guides and directs
Stokes Land Group
through complex
negotiations to
arrive at creative
and timely solutions
resulting in fast,
effective, and
sound business
deals.
Gayle
attended St.
Leo College where
she earned her
undergraduate
degree in business,
Summa Cum Laude.
She graduated
from the University
of Florida in
the top 10% of
her class of
1991 with a joint
J.D. / MBA degree.
While in law
school, she was
Senior Articles
Editor for the
Florida Law Review
and awarded the
Matherly Scholarship
for Excellence
from the graduate
business school.
